I personally do not believe I have heard these sounds myself (though I’m definitely keeping my ears open now!), but upon hearing about this phenomenon I intuitively felt it was important and was worth investigating, even though I had seen a few videos that you have listed above as “proven fakes”.

I don’t have much to add in the weigh of genuine evidence, but I thought I’d share some of my intuitions, maybe they’ll help guide others to a conclusion that suits them.

My first reaction to hearing the videos was the connection to the “War of the Worlds” sound, I had seen the movie before it came out in theatres (not important really, but again, this is intuitive so I pay close attention to synchronicities), which I felt was kind of special (almost as if the “universal intelligence” was trying to show me something important, as if to say, “Pay close attention now.”).

So to that concept I bring up the notion of COINTELPRO, and how perhaps (you’ve got your grain of salt with you, right?) that these sounds are legitimate, but the “powers that be”, knew of their forthcoming – and so prepared the population by using a sound incredibly similar in the movie, (if not an actual recording of this sound?) so that COINTELPRO agents in the future, when the sounds would actually begin to be heard around the world, would have “ammo” for their campaign.

Another intuition I can share is the idea that perhaps only certain individuals are “tuned in”, and so they are more sensitive to these vibrations and can hear them, where as others can not. Now I don’t mean to suggest in any way that only “more evolved” people can “get it”, please take it that way. In my mind, it would be more of a matter of genetics than any spiritual or religious dogma.

Now logically, the first intuition makes sense if you believe in COINTELPRO campaigns and that even though many conspiracy theories are just examples of vivid imagination and attempts to garner traffic flow to a certain website, that there remains a thread of truth to many of them. If this thread were to hold up, I think my intuition actually makes a good deal of sense. Chicken or the egg? Don’t get too caught up with that, just let the information flow into your mind and see where it resonates; this is, after all, just an intuition.

To the second one, logic doesn’t hold up very well to this, mainly because if there is some astronomical or geological explanation for these sounds, then any body on earth, from plants, minerals, to animals, would certainly be able to feel it. However, I do understand a subtle yet profound facet to the nature of reality – that perception plays an incredibly significant role in our experience of it. In other words, if people are looking for a sound like this, it’s not at all unlikely that they could perceive one, when its source is otherwise scientifically explainable. On the other hand, if you were looking to discredit this concept all together (whether your intentions are pure or not) you might be standing in a crowd of folks who are hearing the sound and still deny that you hear it, and so to you, you may not at all!

My current stance on this issue is that the sounds are real, but that many of the videos surfacing are not.

P.S. I have noticed that in some of the video recordings of these sounds, the sound is mostly similar, but in a few, the sound does appear to be heard at a different frequency. My hypothesis at the moment is that these sounds are probably a result of a combination of increasing energy fluctuations from our sun, and the core of our planet.

Doesn’t it strike anyone unusual that they are deep in the forest in heavy winter conditions, yet there are the sounds of children playing and birds chirping in the background? I didn’t see any kids in the Alberta video, yet, there they are on the recording. That particular hoaxer didn’t put much gain on the recorded overlay, presumably to try and cover up the ambient noise from the ripped audio, because they were too lazy to try and remove it, or, just find or produce some other similar sound. But alas, they are still there.

HAARP, there is no evidence that it’s the malevolent “earthquake causing”, “magnetic pole flipping” conspiracy that seems so popular. Those “conspiracies” actually came from it’s portrayal in Marvel Comics, Tom Clancy’s “Breaking Point” novel, and of all things, an X-files episode, so, the conspiracists in this instance aren’t even original. I’ve read the psudo-physics purported to be at work in these conspiracies, and as a physics major, I can tell you for certain resonance just doesn’t work that way.

Here is a great video (made by someone else that had some time to do so) of the “strange sounds” videos and the proof of how fake they are. Namely, laying the sounds side-by-side to expose them as complete and total rips of the original Kiev, of which he also has a much longer version showing residents walking around, non-responsive, until they get close enough to the windows to hear his speakers.
